Zion Wall

To capture the size and grandeur of the American West, you need to make the images big. But, big images fail when the details are lost in fuzzy enlargements. On this day, I set out to make a very large image. When I returned home, I stitched together the 67 images I captured to make this one print. In the final print, you can peer deeply into the image to see hikers on the trail. It is then that viewers mouths gape as they step back in awe of the grandeur of the American West. I feel blessed to have captured an image that can convey a small portion of the feeling of being there.
