Landscape as a Panoramic

Posted by Marc on October 5, 2007

To me, the panoramic image is a natural way to artistically represent the wilderness. When I look at natural scenery, my head moves back and forth, as if I were slowly shaking my head and thinking "No, this is impossibly beautiful." After I stop my panoramic head-shake, I start picking out little pieces of the scene in front of me—a discernible tree, a mountain peak, flowers, boulders, moss, tree bark.

When I look at a photographic print, the panorama draws me to the image but the details draw me deeper and pique my interest.
